Adobe is expanding its presence across AI chatbot platforms, bringing its creative and productivity tools to Google Gemini and introducing new capabilities to its Claude plugin.

The company has already integrated with ChatGPT, Claude, Slack, and Copilot. Today, Adobe is launching two new initiatives: making its tools available in Gemini and adding Acrobat functionality to the Adobe for Claude plugin alongside new interactive editing capabilities.

Adobe in Gemini

Google Gemini, which serves over one billion monthly users, now offers access to pro-grade Adobe tools including Photoshop, Lightroom, Express, and Firefly. Users can describe desired outcomes through conversation, and Adobe orchestrates the appropriate tools and steps.

Use cases include creating consistent product photos by uploading images and describing the desired look, with Adobe optimizing lighting, color, and cropping for storefronts and marketing materials. Users can also transform single designs into social media-ready versions while maintaining branding, or customize professionally designed Express templates by describing campaigns, target audiences, and preferred styles.

Adobe says today's launch is the first step in its journey with Google to expand tool availability in Gemini.

Enhanced Adobe for Claude Plugin

The Adobe for Claude plugin now offers over 80 pro-grade tools across Acrobat, Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, InDesign, and Adobe Stock. For the first time, Acrobat tools are integrated alongside creative tools in a unified plugin.

The update introduces interactive editing capabilities that expand beyond conversational workflows. Users can now edit PDFs directly and customize Express designs with a layer-based interactive editor, providing hands-on control over individual elements including images, copy, colors, and fonts without regenerating entire designs.

The plugin builds on existing Adobe capabilities in Claude for refining images individually or in batches, creating vectors and layouts, editing and assembling videos, and adapting content for different channels. These tools now work alongside Acrobat functionality to support projects through completion within Claude.

Availability

Adobe in Gemini is rolling out globally starting today across all Gemini plans. Users can navigate to Personal Intelligence, select Adobe under connected apps, and sign in with an Adobe account or create one for free.

Adobe for Claude is also rolling out globally today across Claude and Claude Code on desktop, mobile, and web. Users can get started as guests or sign in with Adobe accounts to unlock the full plugin experience, including higher usage limits, additional tools, and session continuity. Existing Adobe connector installations will automatically update to the new plugin.
