Meta Forum Adds Admin AI, Scheduling and Moderation Tools

Meta is rolling out new tools in Forum, its dedicated app for people who want to go deeper on Facebook Groups, to help admins manage and grow their communities. Running a group takes real work: reviewing posts, answering questions, keeping conversations on track, and planning what comes next. Meta says features like admin AI and Admin Assist take on more of that busywork so admins have more time for building and nurturing their communities.

Smarter Moderation With Admin AI and Admin Assist

Admin AI is a group management tool built into Forum that helps admins triage pending items, such as member requests and pending posts, with suggestions for what to do next. It also highlights what's working, what needs attention, and which topics members are discussing. In Forum, admin AI can now draft posts for admins to review, edit, and publish whenever they're ready.

Meta is also adding a way for admin AI to check pending posts against the group rules admins set. Each post gets a tag showing whether it likely meets the group rules or may go against them, which makes it faster for admins to decide what to approve. Tags appear in the pending post queue and in admin AI.

Admin Assist in Forum is now more flexible, giving admins more control over how they set up automated moderation. Admins can build custom rules by combining multiple conditions, such as post length, link usage, or prior moderation actions. Meta notes that admins stay in control of what they allow in their group, and that all posts are subject to its Community Standards.

Tailored Insights for Every Group Stage

Forum is also introducing insights based on where a group is in its journey: brand new, growing, or well established. These insights highlight what admins should act on next so they know where to focus as their groups grow. They appear in the group itself and in Admin Home on Forum.

Tools Built for Admin Teams

Admins told Meta they wanted an easier way to keep up with new Facebook Group features, along with tools to coordinate with moderators so they can share relevant content. Within Admin Home, admins will now get regular updates on what's new in Groups, with recently launched features and the latest updates in one place.

Admins and their moderators can now work from one shared calendar in Forum that shows posts the team has scheduled, so no one duplicates effort or misses something in between. Admins can use admin AI to help draft and schedule up to five posts in one go, which Meta says saves time and keeps the conversation going. Admins can also pin a comment, such as an answer, a correction, or a clarification, where members will see it when a reply deserves attention.
