Grounded 2 adds Woodpile area and Centipede boss

Grounded 2's Rot and Ruin Update expands Brookhollow Park with a new area to explore, dangerous creatures to fight, another Buggy to ride, and new ways to customize both gear and home base. The update arrives in Grounded 2 this fall, and the game's current Game Preview builds toward Version 1.0 in 2027.

Explore the Woodpile

The Woodpile is a new adventure area of towering structures and winding passages, and it is home to a familiar threat. Termites return, including Workers, Soldiers, the Termite King, and new O.G.R.R. variants. Developers say these are not the Termites players remember. They bring new attacks and some unusual behavior as players push deeper into their territory.

The update also brings the Centipede, a new boss that the developers describe as one of the community's most requested creatures. It has “plenty of legs and even more reasons to run.”

Saddle Up on the Potato Beetle Buggy

The Potato Beetle Buggy is bigger than the Ladybug Buggy and built for close-range combat. It can unleash a spread of projectiles at creatures in front of it and use its Healing Roar to keep the player in the fight. It can also haul resources and contribute materials to blueprints while players build across the Park.

Paint Your Base

Painting lets builders personalize their creations. Players craft paint and apply it with a new paintball gun called the Splotcher. Walls, floors, roofs, stairs, doors, and other structures can all take a fresh coat of color.

Upgrade Weapons and Armor

Weapons and armor can be upgraded to higher Tiers using Bismuth, a new resource tied to the Raw Science forces beneath the Park. Players gather it, refine it, and use it at the new Yoking Press.

The update also adds new SCA.B Themes, collectible miniatures, new stations, and more.
