Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Coming to Switch 2 in Spring 2027

Ubisoft is bringing two beloved shooter classics to Switch 2 this spring. Far Cry 3 and its neon-soaked spin-off Blood Dragon will let players experience island survival and retro-futuristic vengeance on the go.

Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Classic Edition will launch on Switch 2 in Spring 2027.

Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 is an open-world first-person shooter in which you play as Jason Brody, a tourist fighting to survive on the fictional Rook Islands. The game lets you customize your loadout, active skills, and mission approach to suit your playstyle—whether you prefer direct assault or stealth and ranged combat.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a retro-futuristic standalone action game inspired by 1980s sci-fi films. You play as Sergeant Rex Colt: Mark IV Cyber Commando, a cyborg seeking vengeance against your former commanding officer on a post-nuclear Earth.

Availability

Both titles received a free 60FPS update in January and are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as through Ubisoft+ subscription.
