Today, Mozilla and Mistral announced a partnership to bring privacy, control, and choice to AI-powered web browsing. Firefox Smart Window (beta), Mozilla's AI browsing assistant, is now powered by Mistral models. Smart Window helps users make sense of complex searches, remember important information they've clicked away from, and source information based on their browser tabs. Mistral will power Smart Window for users in France and North America, with the United Kingdom and Germany expected to follow later this year.

The partnership pairs two open-source advocates to bring Mistral's models to consumers worldwide. Mistral is fine-tuning its AI systems on regional languages, dialects, and cultural context so users receive responses tailored to their local nuance.
