Welcome to Dagda

The Dagdan Empire, a prosperous land ruled by the gods, faces catastrophe when the demon god Balor returns. In response, you travel back in time with the help of the goddess Fortuna to the Heroic Games—an elite competition held in the city of Dagsion. Your mission: assemble a team of powerful heroes and guide them through the competition to stop Balor and save the world.

Four destinies, woven together

The Heroic Games grant the winner one wish, creating fierce competition among warriors. Four heroes stand out, and you can play their individual storylines in any order, even pausing progress in one to explore another:

  • Cai: a young boy determined to win the games and save his imprisoned father
  • Dietrich: a swordsman hunting for a stronger opponent
  • Theodora: a queen seeking to fulfill her homeland's long-held dream
  • Leda: a musician bent on revenge

A battle for the ages (literally)

Fortune's Weave is a tactical RPG featuring turn-based combat that ranges from small skirmishes to elaborate battles with specific rules. Like traditional RPGs, the game includes character classes, weapons, magic, armor, and special attacks. However, tactical RPGs emphasize positioning—where you place units on the battlefield matters greatly. You'll need to consider attack range, enemy distance, unit matchups, and allied positions.

Heroes can unleash powerful signature moves called Blaze Arts at the cost of HP. These attacks fill the Blaze Gauge, which provides a helpful power boost at the halfway mark. Fully filling the gauge triggers a Burst effect that removes bonuses and halves the hero's max HP—a risk-and-reward mechanic.

The game gradually teaches these mechanics and offers accessibility options. You can rewind turns a limited number of times to experiment with different strategies, making it approachable for newcomers to the genre.

Between story events, you control how you spend your time. Within the city, you can recruit allies, level up Blessings at temples, train at the training ground, and build friendships at inns. Outside the city walls, the world map offers quests, resource gathering, enemy encounters for experience, and dungeon crawling for better loot.
