"The real danger is not that computers will begin to think like men, but that men will begin to think like computers." - Sydney J. Harris
It's been at least three years in the making, but here it is: the final specifications for PCI Express 7.0 (or PCIe 7.0) have just been officially announced. The technology follows the tradition of increasing its performance with each new version: now, the bandwidth reaches 512 GB/s (gigabytes per second).
Such a high rate will allow computers to support extremely high-performance video cards or SSDs, much to the delight of the gaming public. But that's in the distant future. Initially, PCIe 7.0 will be used for data center applications, artificial intelligence and quantum computing, for...

The first smartphone with a 100% Chinese-made chip has been created.
China continues its quest for technological self-sufficiency at all levels: semiconductors for smartphones and even GPUs for Artificial Intelligence. The new Mate 70 Pro+ is a punch on the table after the American vetoes and represents a major milestone for the Asian country: Huawei has announced that it has achieved 100% domestic production.
A small big step away from dependence on the West
In its journey towards technological independence, China is counting on Huawei, SMC and HiSilicon, three companies that represent resistance to the vetoes imposed by the US in recent years. With limited...
Samsung launches world’s first OLED monitor with 500 Hz refresh rate
In addition to the high speed, the new model offers the usual benefits of OLED panels, including robust protection against burn-in and a new anti-reflective coating.
The QD OLED panel of the new Odyssey G6 is the main highlight: at 27 inches and with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, this is the first screen with OLED technology to reach 500 Hz. Previously, monitors with this type of screen could only reach 480 Hz. The difference is small and will only be noticed by a small number of users, but it is welcome nonetheless.
Image quality is also a highlight: the new model boasts 99%...
Intel may unveil Arc B770 card during Computex 2025 as RTX 5060 rival
It's worth remembering that the brand still doesn't have any models on the market to compete with the AMD RX 9060 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 models. So the idea is that the launch will be the manufacturer's alternative to compete with rivals in the desktop graphics card segment.
According to sources in the Japanese press, the product would be based on the BMG-G31 chip and the first information about it was revealed a few weeks ago. In this sense, it is possible that Intel's future Arc B770 GPU is being produced in a factory in Vietnam.
It's worth remembering that other products from the...
Avoiding tariffs: Samsung may move production to avoid Donald Trump’s tariffs
Samsung announced that it may transfer production of its products to other countries. The announcement was made during the company's earnings conference call held today.
To put this into context, many Samsung products are manufactured in Vietnam, which has now become the target of an additional 46% tariff from the US, which would make them very expensive to sell in the US.
Due to the pressure of tariffs, Samsung could move its production to the US (where the tariff doesn't exist) or to India with a 26% tax. Another good option would be Brazil, where tariffs are only 10%.
The move shouldn't...

In general, the information about the products appeared in some slides on the Naver Cafe channel. In this sense, the rumors claim that these chips will be launched with more timid upgrades compared to the current ones. For example, they should stick with the Zen 5/5c CPU cores.
