Meta is building personal AI agents for everyone and a family of devices to access them from anywhere.

Bringing Muse to AI Glasses

— Meta

Meta launched Muse, a personal AI agent designed to proactively help users meet their goals, and announced it's coming to the company's AI glasses in the coming months. Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated new features, connectors, and an updated model powering the agent.

On AI glasses: Users will soon say the agent's name, and Muse can act on what they're looking at without requiring description. Ask about a product on a shelf, a flier on a wall, or a list of school supplies, and Muse can take action.

Voice mode: Conversations with Muse differ from traditional voice assistant interactions. Users can have long, in-depth conversations while Muse completes tasks in the background.

Expanded connectors: Meta launched Muse with dozens of partners and access to the entire Shopify catalog. New shopping partners include Walmart, Best Buy, American Eagle Outfitters, DICK'S Sporting Goods, Fanatics, Gap, Michael Kors, Sephora, Ulta, and Wayfair, plus Shop Pay and PayPal for payments. Expedia is coming soon for travel planning, Instacart for groceries, and work tools include Notion, Granola, GitHub, and Box. More partners are planned.

Email integration: Muse will have its own email address, giving users another way to communicate with and direct the agent.

Muse Charm

Muse Charm is a pocket-sized device for talking and interacting with Muse, featuring a state-of-the-art real-time voice model. More details will be shared later this year.

VR Glasses

— Meta

Meta VR Glasses, the company's most advanced device yet, weigh about 100 grams—roughly the same as a deck of cards—and deliver a personal cinema, courtside seat, workspace, and gaming console. The lightweight form factor enables immersive experiences while keeping users aware of their surroundings, without straps or heavy hardware.

The glasses are the first IMAX Enhanced certified VR device and one of the only ways to experience select films in IMAX's exclusive expanded aspect ratio at home. Meta is working with Prime Video, YouTube, DIRECTV, AMC+, Crunchyroll, Plex, ESPN, Tubi, and more for media content, and 3D content from Disney+, Peacock, HBO Max, and Paramount+.

For sports, partnerships with ESPN, MLB, NBC Sports, TNT Sports, and UFC will provide more than 100 immersive live sports events each year.

The VR Glasses also function as a portable workspace, allowing users to turn any flat surface into a keyboard and touchpad to work without carrying extra hardware.

Audio Glasses, Ray-Ban Meta Updates, and New Styles

— Meta

Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses pack earbuds and AI functionality into Meta's lightest and slimmest AI glasses yet, enabling hands-free access to music, podcasts, calls, and Meta AI without isolating users from their surroundings.

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), the next generation of Meta's best-selling AI glasses, features a slimmer, more comfortable design, longer battery life, and a customizable action button for instant Meta AI access.

New styles include an Ivory colorway of Meta Glasses by Kylie Jenner, a first collaboration with LISA, Meta's most affordable AI glasses yet, and additional colorways across existing styles.

Hearing enhancement: Supported AI glasses will receive hearing enhancement, an FDA-cleared software for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss. Setup takes minutes at home with no clinic or prescription required. Launching in the US later this year, hearing enhancement costs $149.99 (HSA/FSA eligible) or comes with a Meta One subscription. AI glasses wearers also gain new audio controls: audio balance to shift sound between ears, or mono audio to route all sound to one side.

Meta Ray-Ban Display Updates

Meta Ray-Ban Display received new features for everyday use: hands-free navigation, a personalized hologram for video calls, and Dolby Atmos capture with spatial surround sound. The glasses are now available through online ordering and expanding to the UK, Canada, France, Italy, and Germany.

Looking Ahead

By year's end, Meta will offer more than 100 different AI glasses options. With Muse access across these devices, the company is building “personal superintelligence” into glasses users can take anywhere.

Detailed Specifications of New AI Glasses

Meta VR Glasses use a separate pocketable puck for processing, battery, and storage; reports identify Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite as the processor. Meta’s announcement also included six microphones, up to nine hours of battery life, and Dolby Atmos spatial-audio capture for Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3.[2][4]
