Microsoft has officially kicked off 2026 by revealing the first wave of titles for Xbox Game Pass. The January update introduces a diverse selection of 11 games, ranging from high-octane action to classic RPGs, reinforcing the service's value across console, PC, and cloud platforms.
The first half of January 2026 brings a significant expansion to the Game Pass library, featuring major releases from Ubisoft, Capcom, and Rebellion. This initial wave, which runs through January 20, highlights highly anticipated additions like Star Wars Outlaws, where players navigate the galactic underworld, and the Master Crafted Edition of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, offering the definitive grimdark action experience.
Launch Schedule and Platform Availability
The updates began on January 6 with the tactical twin-stick shooter Brews & Bastards and the atmospheric Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. The momentum continues on January 7 with a heavy focus on Game Pass Premium subscribers, who gain access to the survival-action title Atomfall, the stylized Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, the competitive Rematch, and the aforementioned Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. On January 8, the service pays homage to RPG history with the 2D remodeled version of the original Final Fantasy.
The second week of January features the arrival of Star Wars Outlaws on January 13, available for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. This is followed by the family-friendly My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery on January 15.
The wave concludes on January 20 with two major entries. Capcom’s Resident Evil Village joins the service, providing a perfect lead-in for fans ahead of next month's release of Resident Evil Requiem. Simultaneously, the month’s sole day-one debut, MIO: Memories in Orbit, launches across Cloud, Handheld, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
