Feel Free Games announced that Luma Island, which launched on PC in November 2024, is coming to PlayStation 5. The game has already attracted more than 800,000 players since its PC release.

Gameplay and Features

Luma Island is designed to accommodate different player types and skill levels through multiple difficulty modes and varied gameplay options. Players start with an old caravan and a rundown farm, then choose their own path forward. You can build and decorate your farm, grow crops, raise animals, select from eight professions, meet townsfolk, and hatch Lumas—magical companions that join you on your journey.

Beyond the farm, the island offers forests, mountains, thick jungles, caves full of resources, ancient temples with puzzles and traps, hidden treasure, and Pirate Cove with its own pirate-themed minigames and challenges. Gameplay shifts fluidly between activities: you might spend an evening fishing or farming, then venture out the next day to explore temples or search for secrets. Discovering one area often leads to your next adventure.

Multiplayer and Cross-Platform Support

The game supports solo play or cooperative multiplayer for up to four players online, allowing you to build together, share resources, and explore as a group. Luma Island will support cross-platform play across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, so friends on different platforms can play together.

Three difficulty modes let players control their experience: Cozy Mode removes combat unless chosen, while Adventure and Hero modes increase the challenge. The game features no stamina bars or inventory limits, giving you freedom to focus on whatever appeals to you—whether that's a relaxed evening decorating your farm or a more adventurous expedition.
