The Apex Legends VS Street Fighter 6 Event runs from September 22 to October 13, 2026. Players can experience the fighting styles of classic Street Fighter characters including Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, and Dhalsim on a Street Fighter 6-themed Olympus. The event features eight Iconic Legend Skins, eight Legendary weapon skins, and the Hadoken Mythic Universal Melee with a matching Deathbox.

Making a Dream Collaboration

Bringing Street Fighter 6 into the Outlands is a dream collaboration for our team. Both Apex Legends and Street Fighter are built around competition, skill, and mastery, making this a natural pairing.

The team aimed to create an experience authentic to both franchises—welcoming Street Fighter players into the Outlands while giving Apex players a fresh way to engage with their world.

That meant taking recognizable Street Fighter elements, both classic and new, and reimagining them through an Apex lens. From transforming Olympus into a Street Fighter-inspired stage to turning the iconic Hadoken into a Universal Melee, every element was designed to feel unmistakably Street Fighter while still fitting seamlessly into Apex Legends.

Remixing Olympus

Remixing Olympus for this takeover was all about immersing players in fighting game culture. Building off what we learned on maps like the Night City E-District remix from our Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration, we wanted Olympus to feel like a living Street Fighter stage. For the Street Fighter 6 collaboration especially, we kept thinking of how we could inject that high-energy arcade feel directly into the map.

The team introduced a POI takeover in Luke's Gym alongside smashable Punch Trucks—a nod to classic Street Fighter bonus stages. They also added arcade cabinets, giant Blanka-chan balloons, bold color, graffiti, and massive statues of the fighters.

We're really excited for players to explore every corner of this map and feel the energy that the team poured into it.

How Wildcard Works

Wildcard fuses classic battle royale survival with Street Fighter mechanics. Players grab tokens across the map to fill their Fight Gauge. Once maxed out, they trigger Fighter Form to switch to third-person perspective and unleash special moves. In Fighter Form, players gain massive damage reduction, enhanced movement, block capabilities, and a new set of special moves.

If players survive to the final round, they enter the Showdown—a chaotic free-for-all where downed and respawning players drop straight back into the action immediately. Everyone trades Hadokens, Shoryukens, Yoga Sunbursts, and Kikosho blasts until only one squad remains standing.

Cosmetics and Character Pairings

Players can earn Zenny to unlock items in the Reward Shop, including the Lifeline x Li-Fen Epic Skin. Eight Iconic Legend Skins pair Apex legends with Street Fighter characters:

Eight Legendary Street Fighter 6-themed weapon skins are available for the R-99, EVA-8, Flatline, Volt, Scout, Mozambique, Sentinel, and Peacekeeper. Additional cosmetics include two Skydive Emotes, Holosprays, Stickers, Badges, Trackers, and Frames.

Street Fighter genuinely means a lot to the people on our team. We took great care helping curate the lineup, wanting to do right by well-loved characters like Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma and align them with Legends that expressed a similar power fantasy, personality or silhouette. We can't wait for players to step into the Outlands as their favorite Street Fighter characters and experience Apex through a new lens. We're also excited to launch the Hadoken as our melee, one of the most iconic moves in gaming history. Getting that sense of power and spectacle right was a priority for us, and we hope players feel that when it is in their hands.
